< Go Back Making Tax Digital Posted: Aug 1, 2019 The way you send us information is changing. You may have
had a letter from HMRC with this message. This is the basic principle of Making
Tax Digital (MTD). MTD is part of HMRC's ambition to become one of the most
digitally advanced tax administrations in the world
The UK Government has implemented Making Tax Digital since April 2019. VAT registered businesses are the
first to be affected, but all businesses will need to make changes too.
VAT Registered and Turnover 85k p.a.?
If the above applies to your business, your MTD obligations
started from April 2019. From this date, all your accounting and VAT records
will need to be digital. You will need to make the move to digital accounting.
You'll need to have a solution in place for your
first VAT Return period that starts on or after 1st April 2019.
If you are not yet compliant with MTD, don't hesitate to get in touch with us to get you up to date!
